Guidelines

1. Posts should be about your journey and lived experiences. Posts should not:
   • Suggest that your lived experiences apply to everyone.

2. Posts must be in compliance with the general content guidelines.
3. Affiliate links are allowed in posts so long as:
   • The poster has used the product.
   • It is relevant to the Trans Journey community.
   • Whatever is being promoted is not manufactured or created by a company or companies deemed to be anti-trans. Please note, this rule applies to who makes the product, not the marketplace where it is sold.

1. Comments must be relevant to the post involved.
2. Comments should affirm the poster. Comments should not:
   • Invalidate the poster's struggles.
   • Contain negativity about the poster's experience, appearance, or other aspects. One may share one's own negative experiences in comments, but only if it is affirming the poster ("I had the same bad time as you"), and this should not cross the line into "my experience is everyone's experience". Sharing negative experiences as comments to a happiness post that is all positive, for example, is prohibited. In the event that a person is going to do something that they should be warned about, you may warn them and link to an external source to let them know provided that your comment is in compliance with the general content guidelines. This is considered in good faith and doesn't count as "negativity".
   • Push one's own solutions on the poster or suggest that everyone needs that solution. One may share solutions to how one solved a problem, but the solution needs to be in context of "I did this to solve <whatever problem the poster is having>".
   • Contain jokes of any kind. This is not a humor website and jokes often represent a gray area that allows for the expression of derogatory or hateful opinions.
3. Comments should not contain questions unless the post is an "asking for advice" post and you are trying to help the user by inquiring further on what the user is asking about. Please use DMs for questions like "where did you buy that outfit or how did you regrow your hair?".
4. All comments must be in compliance with the general content guidelines.
5. Comments may not contain affiliate links. While you may suggest relevant products or services to the poster, we do not want to incentivize this behavior.

Content you post must be in compliance with your local laws and regulations. Trans Journey reserves the right to remove your content at the request of authorities if they have the legal right to do so.

The following are prohibited:

1. Nudity or suggestive sexual content. You can discuss sexuality, romance, attraction, preferences, sex, and genitalia. It should not be suggestive or read like porn. Journey profiles should not be overtly sexual/read like an OnlyFans (just make an OnlyFans if that is your intention).
2. Content that promotes, affirms, or suggests breaking the fundamental rule: "the only thing one needs to do to be trans is identify that way".

   This includes, but is not limited to, the following ideologies:

   • Bioessentialism
   • Truscum
   • Transmedicalism
3. Content that paints trans or questioning individuals as a whole negatively or paints one or more other Trans Journey users negatively.
4. Content that promotes or affirms known anti-trans figures or content (defined by rules 2 and 3). If some or all of a work or content a figure has gained wide-scale publicity with could be interpreted as anti-trans, it's not allowed.

   Example: Complaining about J.K. Rowling is allowed. Positive, promotional, or affirming content about her is not. "Affirming" in this sense can also mean questions like "Why is J.K. Rowling considered anti-trans?" — these types of questions are rarely in good faith.

5. AI-generated content of any kind. This includes text, images, and video. Additionally, AI-modified images and video are prohibited.
6. Images or videos containing anyone other than yourself. Anyone means anyone, don't post a transition photo of you and your friends. It will be taken down.
7. Unsolicted advice of any kind.
8. Blanket statements about the trans community or parts of the trans community.
9. Content that is derogatory or hateful towards a group of people based race, heritage, gender, sexual orientation, or other protected characteristics.
10. Content that a user deems as harassment, bullying, or an unwanted sexual advance. If the offensive content is overtly offensive you will receive a ban. Otherwise, if you are told to stop, any additional content in the same vein will result in a ban.
11. Content that contains the personal information of someone other than yourself, including but not limited to: legal name or deadname, email address, phone number, street address, and government issued ID number

Additionally:

1) Minors (under 18) are strictly prohibited from posting images or video; if we suspect you're under 18 it's an insta-ban.

2) All content is subject to moderation at any time. We may decline to show some content publicly until it has been approved at our own discretion at any time. This especially applies to new users.

3) We reserve the right to remove any content at any time at our discretion.
